Confucius: ‘Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.’
It’s natural to get angry when confronted by ignorance or injustice, or what we perceive to be the unfairness of life. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to make sensible decisions once mental balance is lost. A few moments of madness can lead to a lifetime of regret. Why get angry about things that can’t be changed? Anger leads to hate, despair and hopelessness. The fight back against cancer begins once anger is replaced with more positive emotions such as hope, belief, perseverance and acceptance. Cancer must be fought with the very best weapons and so, don’t go to a gun fight with a pea shooter! Anger can be eliminated by changing perceptions, leading to better attitudes and outcomes.
